Global Voices, Local Heart celebrates the people, stories, and community spirit at the core of Nashville’s creativity, while recognizing our place within the worldwide community united through soccer. This unique exhibition features 39 artworks by 32 local artists selected by a three-person curatorial committee comprised of local arts leaders Andrea Zieher, Curator and Co-Founder, ZieherSmith; Evan Roosevelt Brown, Principal Curator/Consultant; and James Threalkill, Artist and Creative Consultant in collaboration with the Nashville Soccer Club and the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville.

Andrea Zieher

Co-owner of ZieherSmith Contemporary Art Gallery
Andrea Zieher is a contemporary art dealer, collector, and entrepreneur. In 2003, she and her husband Scott established the art gallery ZieherSmith in New York City, and they relocated to Nashville in 2019. They have curated hundreds of critically acclaimed exhibitions, become known for discovering several high-profile artists, and participated in over 50 international art fairs including Art Basel Miami Beach. Regular press includes in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and others. In 2025, they opened a new gallery space on South Street in Edgehill, and it was named Best New Gallery by The Nashville Scene.

Evan Roosevelt Brown

Principal Consultant / Curator
Evan Brown is a visionary art consultant, curator and creative director with a passion for building upon the artistic expressions of artists. Raised in Nashville, TN since 5 years of age, Evan’s upbringing in the Nashville art community scene ignited his lifelong fascination with creativity, expression and expansion. Evan’s academic journey took him down a path with a degree in Economics and Finance and Master’s in Business Administration, where he honed his critical thinking and analytical skills. After years of developing relationships and building a sound resume in corporate work, Evan was presented the opportunity to pursue his first passion of art and curation, where he lead as art director for Slim & Husky’s pizza locations and headed The NKA Gallery by Slim & Husky’s as curator and director of exhibitions.

James Threalkill

Artist, Creative Consultant
James Threalkill is originally from Nashville, Tennessee and played wide receiver at Vanderbilt University after a three-sport career at East Nashville High School. James won an Emmy Award for his creation of a mural painting program with youth from the Edgehill Community in South Nashville. James illustrated a children’s book series entitled; “Visions; African American Experiences” that was featured on Sesame Street. James’ work has been featured on major television programs and in movies. His work has been collected internationally including locations in South Africa where he met President Nelson Mandela, and in South America by the U. S. Embassy in Bogota, Colombia.
